STYLE FILES: CANADA DAY 2014
Canada celebrated its 147th birthday on July 1 and the nation’s capital was buzzing with excitement as thousands of Canadians converged on downtown Ottawa to partake in the day’s festivities. Before joining the celebration, I stopped by the Rideau Centre and bumped into my fellow fashionista @caramelsisi wearing a $148 Fia Pencil Peplum Skirt and a
$69 $39 Alisha Bralette from Marciano. She accessorized her all white ensemble with a statement necklace from Aldo Accessories and a bold red lip. Peep toe wedges and a gold snake arm bracelet completed her look.
Sorry to disappoint you ladies, I tried to get the deets on Simone’s arm bracelet but she couldn’t remember where she had bought it from!
Check out a few more of the images I managed to capture throughout the day. I only photographed people that I thought stood out from the crowd…
Like this lady, who I spotted while walking through the Byward Market. At first, she laughed when I told her I loved her pants but quickly got down to business when I asked to take her picture.
This reveller told me “Happy Colonization Day.”
The sweltering heat and random downpours that we endured called for shots at The Brig on York Street.
