FAME: Lady Gaga Unveils New Fragrance Ad Campaign
Nudity is a part of Lady Gaga’s daily wardrobe so it’s no surprise that the controversial singer stripped down in the ad campaign for her debut fragrance, ‘Lady Gaga Fame: Black Fluid.’
Shot by Steven Klein, the bizarre black-and-white image shows a nude Gaga wearing a mask and holding a bottle of “the first-ever black eau de parfum” while miniature men crawl all over her.
“The soul of fame being black was the intellectual foundation of the color of the fragrance.” said Steve Mormoris, Senior VP of Global Marketing for Coty Beauty.
The egg-shaped bottle is adorned with a gold, claw-like cap, and was designed in collaboration with photographer Nick Knight, who directed her “Born This Way” video.
Thankfully, we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief that the perfume smells nothing like blood and semen as stated by Lady Gaga.
Instead, according to the back of the bottle, the scent is a mixture of ‘tears of Belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea, with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot, and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops.’
Lady Gaga Fame is set to hit stores in September.
