VIDEO: Bobbi Kristina On “Oprah’s Next Chapter”
On Sunday night, exactly one month since the untimely death of pop icon Whitney Houston, OWN aired the much anticipated interview with Whitney’s only child, daughter Bobbi Kristina. During the special pre-taped episode of “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” the 19-year-old opened up about her mother’s passing, telling Oprah:
“I’m doing as good as I possibly can at this point. I’m just trying to keep going. I can sing her music, but to hear it now, I can’t. I can hear her spirit talking to me and telling me, ‘Keep moving baby. I’m right here. I got you.’ She’s always with me. I can always feel her with me.”
Bobbi Kristina, who is still living in her mother’s Atlanta home, says that the lights in the house will go on and off, and she knows it’s her mother. “I’m like, ‘Mom, what are you doing?’ I can still laugh with her and still talk to her,” she says.
She also revealed her plans to follow in her mother’s famous footsteps. “I’m her daughter. I gotta keep moving. I gotta carry on her legacy,” she told Oprah. “I still have a voice. We’re gonna do the singing thing. We’re gonna do some acting, some dancing.”
“It’s a lot of pressure,” she added, “but she prepared me for it.”
