Nicki Minaj Signs Multi-Million Dollar Endorsement Deal With PEPSI!
Nicki Minaj’s cakes may be fake but her money ain’t! The “Stupid H*e” rapper can now add beverage giant Pepsi to her list of major endorsements that already includes MAC’s Viva Glam campaign, OPI nail polish, and a one-of-a-kind barbie with Mattel.
Nicki has signed a massive multi-million dollar endorsement deal, brokered by Glu Agency Founder and CEO Derek Jackson, to become the face of Pepsi’s new natural soda called “Pop.” The agreement reportedly also includes a commercial Nicki filmed in Argentina last month. Watch the leaked (poor) footage below:
“You’ll see the commercial probably in the next two months,” Jackson told Forbes’ Zack O’Malley Greenburg. “That’ll be a segue into a new beverage Pepsi has, called ‘Pop,’ and she’ll be the face of the brand … it’s going to be explosive.”
Nicki’s deal is just one of two major partnerships that Jackson has negotiated between Pepsi and YMCMB. He’s also behind Lil Wayne’s DEWeezy campaign with Mountain Dew, the rapper’s first major endorsement deal in 15 years.
Jackson wouldn’t divulge the terms of the Pepsi-Minaj deal—Nicki’s biggest endorsement to date—but confirmed it was a “seven-figure commitment.”
Wayne’s deal also includes an option that would result in Pepsi and Mountain Dew funding an original film featuring the rapper.
Meanwhile, following the release of her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, Nicki will embark on a 16-date tour across Europe.
