Rap kingpin Rick Ross, bka Ricky Rozay, catapulted onto the scene back in 2006 with the hit single “Hustlin'” off his debut album “Port of Miami.” Fast forward, a short five years later and Ross has made a name for himself amongst rap’s elite. After paying his dues as a solo artist, he started his own label Maybach Music Group. Since then, he’s created an impressive roster which includes artists like Meek Mill, Wale, and Teedra Moses, to name a few. In addition to consistently lacing us with hits, MMG managed to ink a deal with Warner Bros. earlier this year. Ross is as well known for his power moves as he is for his unforgettable one-liners and haunting ad-libs. UGH!

Not bad for a guy who’s incurred the wrath of 50 Cent and bloggers, for everything from his correctional officer past to his baby mother’s sextape. Or who can forget the $10 million lawsuit filed against him by the real “Freeway” Rick Ross? Despite all the challenges, Ross has somehow managed to dominate the game. So what’s next? He’s reportedly gearing up to drop a documentary which chronicles his meteoric rise in the industry. Peep the trailer after the jump:

No word yet on when the documentary is slated to drop.
