Queen Latifah Reveals Living Single Reboot In The Works
A Living Single reboot is in the works! During an interview on Watch What Happens Live! Queen Latifah revealed that she’s working on bringing the show back to television. “We’re actually working on it,” the 46-year-old actress told host Andy Cohen. “It’s not there yet, but hopefully we can get it happening.”
Living Single ran for five seasons on FOX after premiering in 1993, making it one of the most popular black sitcoms in TV history. The 90’s hit sitcom, which was centered on six African-American friends living in NYC, was reportedly the inspiration behind NBC’s Friends, which aired a year later.
The reboot would see Queen Latifah reunited with her former cast mates Erika Alexander, Kim Fields, T.C. Carson, Kim Coles, Jon Helton, and Mel Jackson. As for whether or not the show would come back to TV or stream on Netflix, Latifah said, “It depends — we’re still figuring that all out.”
