AMEX To Live Stream Jay-Z SXSW Concert On YouTube
Hov has teamed up with American Express for a special Twitter-powered concert that will be live streamed nationally from the SXSW (South by Southwest) Music, Film, and Interactive Conference in Austin, Texas.
The “Amex Sync Show Presenting Jay-Z” will broadcast live on YouTube at 8/7c on Monday, March 12, and will also be available for on-demand rebroadcast from March 13 to 19 on Twitter, YouTube, and Xbox Live.
From March 6 to March 11, Jay-Z fans can tweet their song request with the hashtags #JayZSyncShow or #SongTitle for the chance to have Jay-Z perform the most requested song live from Austin.
The performance is a part of American Express’ new Twitter experience that allows cardmembers to sync their cards with Twitter to access exclusive deals by using special hashtags.
When cardmembers tweet using special offer hashtags, those deals are loaded directly onto their synced cards. “Then, when card members use their synced card for qualifying purchases online or in-store at participating merchants, the savings are automatically delivered via a statement credit within days,” according to American Express.
How does it work? First, cardmembers must go to sync.americanexpress.com/twitter to sync their Twitter accounts with their American Express cards. To find the list of current hashtag offers from American Express, view their favorites list on Twitter.
