After having his bail application denied twice, Vybz Kartel’s legal woes continue to mount as the deejay could possibly be facing more murder charges. Assistant Commissioner Ealan Powell, Head of the CIB, said Kartel has been implicated in five additional murders that took place in the Corporate Area and St. Catherine.

To date, Adidja Palmer has been charged with marijuana possession, conspiracy to murder, illegal possession of a firearm and 2 counts of murder stemming from the deaths of Barrington ‘Bossie’ Burton, a 27-year-old businessman/music promoter that was gunned down in the Gregory Park area of Portmore and Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams, who was allegedly beaten and stabbed before being shot to death over a missing firearm reportedly belonging to Vybz Kartel.

Portmore Empire’s Shawn ‘Shawn Storm’ Campbell, Kartel’s designer/stylist/booking agent Calvin ‘Moonie’ Haye, and Kahira Jones were also jointly charged for the August 16 murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.

Meanwhile, the prosecution revealed that they have video evidence and witness statements tying all three men to the murder of Williams.

Though remanded in custody since October 3, trouble continues to befall “Di Teacha.” Last week, six policemen assigned to the Gun Court Remand Center were transferred after allegedly being videotaped taking money from a female relative of Mr. Palmer.

According to the Jamaica Observer, the video also purports to show a policeman accepting money from a suspect in one of Kartel’s murder cases in exchange for him being allowed to visit the deejay in a restricted area of lockup.

The six men could be facing charges of corruption pending the outcome of the investigation by the Anti-Corruption branch.

Following the incident, Kartel was transferred to the Horizon Adult Remand Center on Spanish Town Road. He is scheduled to return to court on December 2.
